Now here is something you won’t see everyday. Over the last few years, Steve Entwistle has taken part in a number of gruelling endurance events to help raise funds for wildlife in SA. Steve currently works offshore as a saturation deep sea diver, and came up with this crazy idea to conquer the Moses Mabhida Arch in an original 1900’s diving dress that weighs over 70 kg’s,  all in the name of saving the rhinos!

Tusks & Horns is a fundraising initiative for the Lawrence Anthony Earth Organisation, which highlights the poaching of rhinos and elephants through education & action. Along with the Thula Thula Rhino Fund, they are currently working on building the first ever Rhino Rehabilitation Centre in KZN.

If you would like to support this event, you can donate an amount towards one of the 500 steps of the 106 metre high arch that Steve has to conquer in this crazy outfit ! All proceeds will go toward the building of the Rhino Rehab at the Thula Thula Game Reserve.

Conservation group Save the Rhino estimates there are approximately 29,000 rhinos left worldwide. Come and support Steve and show your love for Africa’s most endangered species.

Join the facebook event here and if  you are interested in donating, please do so via their website. You can also donate via the Thula Thula website, using the “Diver” reference option.
