It’s the official start of the Durban Fun Season which means a ton of exciting events are about to be unleashed. Longstanding highlight of the KZN winter season, the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk is set for Sunday 24 May 2015 and by the looks of it, will be one of the biggest to date with over 25 000 participants ready to take to the promenade in support of a healthy lifestyle!
Registrations for the event have already closed, so if you’ve entered and got your walking shoes waiting by the door, carry on reading to find out what happens next!
As usual there will be four different routes, the 5km, 10km, 15km and 20km walks.
Race Pack Collection:
Race pack collections will take place at Moses Mabhida Stadium on the following days:
Thursday 21 May | 10am – 7pm
Friday 22 May | 10am – 7pm
Saturday 23 May | 10am – 2pm
Park and Ride:
Parking facilities are available at both the start and the finish. A bus service running between the start and the finish is available to all entrants free of charge. Click here for more info.

Start Venue: Ushaka Marine World
Finish Venue: People’s Park, Moses Mabhida Stadium

- 10 km – 9:00am
- 5 km – 9:45am
