The Engen Knockout Challenge, one of the most prestigious under 17 football tournaments, is back for another exciting installment! Alongside Amazulu FC, Moses Mabhida Stadium is thrilled to be hosting this highly anticipated leg of the tournament.

The #EKOC2017 is widely known as one of the best platforms for young footballers to get their best foot in the football industry’s door. A number of South Africa’s best football players found their way to sport stardom through this channel.

According to the Engen CSI Coordinator, Pumeza Ntisana, football scouts will be on the lookout for the best of SA’s upcoming football stars:

“This is where it all starts. The Engen Knockout Challenge tournament has produced a number of players who have gone on to represent South Africa in the under-17 and under-20 FIFA World Cup tournaments. This year it’s your turn to attract the attention of the scouts and selectors that will be present at the tournament. Your journey starts here,”

The winners of each regional event will then go head to head in the Engen Champ of Champs event later in the year to determine the national winners of the challenge.

The groups are as follows: –
Group 1 – Umqhele High School, Isulabasha, Golden Arrows and Disco FC
Group 2 – Amazulu FC, Induna Academy, Brazil Academy and Magabheni Stars
Group 3 – Molweni Warriors, Meadford Sporting, Young Killers and Royal Eagles
