Women’s Month in Durban is going to be a memorable one thanks to Doek On Fleek! A brainchild of social activist Nomthandazo Mavata, the “Doek On Fleek” movement is turning the “Pull Her Down” syndrome on its head, allowing women to empower and inspire each other.

This unique event is all about uniting, supporting and celebrating women in a safe, free space. “For far too long, women have been pulling in different directions, despite having the same experiences and challenges. We’ve even been known for pulling each other down, instead up uplifting each other. But we’re changing that through Doek On Fleek. We’re saying the Pull Her Down syndrome must fall,” says Nomthandazo Mavata.

Taking place on Saturday, 3 August, the 12 hour event will be spoiling you with a star-studded line-up, including Naima Kay, Busiswa, Happy Gal, DJ Cndo and more! So gather the girl gang and spend the day celebrating one another!
