As an entity of the eThekwini Municipality, Moses Mabhida Stadium often has the opportunity to host events that positively impact the greater Durban community. So, it gives us great pleasure to be hosting the very first Achilles Hope and Possibility 24 Hour Hand Cycle Relay Race!

This fundraising event is the first of its kind and will take place at People’s Park from 10 May 2019 to 11 May 2019. Disabled and able-bodied athletes will take part in a 24 hour hand cycle relay race to raise money and awareness for the Ethembeni School as well as other charities that focus on disabled and visually impaired youth, ultimately raising enough money to build the children a suitable playground. Teams are encouraged to do as many laps of People’s Park as they can, competing for the longest distance covered and the most money raised. Each team should raise a minimum of R20 000.
