Finestinc Director Mbusi Sokhela, popularly known as DJ Sox, and founding Director of Afrotainment Mthokozisi Khathi, well known as DJ Tira, have joined forces to bring the very first Gqom Conference to Durban.
The conference aims to expose emerging Gqom producers to the leaders in the genre, through talks covering producing, media and entertainment, artist development and more. Over the two days, these future stars will be equipped with everything they need to monetize on their authentically South African genre, which is taking the global center stage by storm. To top it off, delegates may get the chance to play their music during the breakaway sessions and get critiqued by professionals who are active in the industry.
The youth led genre is growing quickly, and is well worth two days of in depth discussions and support.
